Inflation has caused my grocery shopping trips to be anything less than exciting. So I started using an array of apps designed to help me get the most bang for my buck on everyday purchases. These apps help ease the pain of how much I spend and turn my purchases into a game. I sort of get the same rush I get when playing a slot machine — except I scan my receipt and hope my receipt reels in the big points.

Scan your receipts. One of the primary ways to earn rewards on Fetch Rewards is by scanning your receipts from grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations, restaurants, or any other retailers.
Rewards. The app will automatically process your receipt and credit your account with points based on the items you've purchased. With every receipt scanned, you will get a minimum of 25 points.
Redeeming Rewards. Once you've accumulated enough points, go to the "Rewards" section and choose from a variety of gift card options to popular retailers or cash rewards.

Remember to scan all your receipts! Don't limit yourself to just grocery receipts. Common receipts I scan include Trader Joe’s, ShopRite, Costco, Walmart, Target, CVS, Home Depot, and Chipotle. You will always get a minimum of 25 points for each scanned receipt and most times you can get extra bonus points for specific products you’ve purchased.

Honest review: Is it going to make you a ton of extra cash quickly? No. However, I do use it after every shopping trip for added entertainment and a little excitement, stock-piling the rewards for a special gift card for myself — not my kids LOL and feeling like I got a little more bang for my buck with my groceries.
