Mace and Mare Fridge Pickle Recipe

Making pickles at home is not only a simple process but also a fantastic way to customize flavors to suit your taste. Ingredients

  • 8-12 pickling cucumbers

  • 4 quarts water

  • 2 cups white vinegar

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup salt

  • 1 bunch fresh dill

  • 8-12 fresh garlic cloves

  • large mouth mason jars

Directions

  1. Wash and cut the ends of the pickling cucumbers then cut into spears.

  2. Pack cut pickling cucumbers into Mason jars with some dill and 2-3 garlic cloves or if you love garlic like me, 4 cloves.

  3. In a large pot, bring the water, vinegar, salt, and sugar to a boil until the salt and sugar are dissolved.

  4. Let the brine mixture cool for 15 minutes then pour brine into each jar.

  5. Cover the mason jars and place them in the fridge overnight.
